Hey there! Its that time of year again. Time for the commenting challenge from Jenna’s Journey! All of you should do this because it is so much fun and a great way to meet new bloggers! Todays topic is “about me”. We all have little about me buttons, or a short paragraph about me but that’s never good enough, right? So, I’m welcoming all of you from Jenna’s Journey! Here’s a little bit about me although most of you probably know but what’s the harm in telling my story again?;)
My name is Jennifer! I’m married to my best friend, Matt of almost five years. Fate is what brought me and my baby together. We lived an hour away from each other. One day my parents decided that they wanted to purchase a lake house. Well, they found one in a little town called Fayetteville. We all went and looked at it one weekend before they sealed the deal and I noticed a very cute boy. Well, that very cute boy noticed me too and informed my dad that he couldn’t buy the house unless he got a date with his daughter. Long story short that cute boy got a date and I ended up marrying him 6 years later. The love of my life. My best friend.
We knew we wanted kids right away. We tried and tried and tried some more and realized that getting pregnant wasn’t as simple as it sounded. That’s when I started my blog. I needed something or just anything to do to let my frustration out. My feelings were hurt. Everyone was getting pregnant around me and I was losing friends too because they were afraid of my “feelings”. You can read more about our infertility journey here, here, here, and here.
hundred doctor appointments later we went ahead with IVF. If you are going thru IVF you can read about our journey here, here, here, and here. After what seemed like forever with shots poking me, tests run, doctors appointments and more shots we found out we were pregnant.. with TWINS! We were so unbelievably thrilled and excited. I thanked God everyday for finally giving me the blessings I had been praying so hard for. On December 30, 2011 I had a cesarean that resulted in two beautiful, healthy babies.
Life turned upside down when we brought these angels home and we couldn’t have loved it more. But a short 7 months later life threw us another obstacle ….
YES. You are reading that correct. We found out we were pregnant. Not planned, not trying. no shots and no IVF. He had given us a wonderful and unexpected gift. Her name is Madelynn and she was born on April 8 of this year weighing in at 8 lbs and 13 oz.
Life is kind of crazy right now but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Thanks to all of you for stopping by! I hope you stick around and read more posts! If you are pregnant with twins I updated every week! Or if you’re currently TTC I posted a bunch on that topic too! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
