First thing is first.. 1) This post contains way too many pictures. 2) I cannot believe we will be holding this little nugget in our arms in just ONE week!
We had a wonderful second Easter as a family of four;) And actually our last as a family of four because in just one week from today we will officially be a family of FIVE! I didn’t think the twins would be that interested in the egg hunt and all the festivities involved with Easter but they loved every single bit of it!
The babies didn’t wake up until around 8:30 so I was able to get breakfast started. JP really likes to have some type of food right when he wakes up hah.. spoiled right? Or maybe just really hungry? Who knows! Anyways, they woke up and we put them on the couch with their sippy cups and Jocelynn noticed the Easter buckets immediately! She said “ooooohhhh” while climbing off the couch and then she ran over to the pink bucket! JP then noticed what she was doing so she did the same but he went for his bucket!
And then JP realized there were a few treats in the bottom of the buckets! Yes, that’s my child trying to eat a Reese cup with the wrapper on hah. And yes, i unwrapped it and give them each a Reese cup BEFORE breakfast;)
While the babies played with their goodies I finished cooking up this yummy-ness
Don’t worry! Ill post a recipe soon;)
We all ate and babies went down for a nap. I then cooked a cake, cupcakes and rice Krispy nests. The hubs and I died a few eggs too to take with us to an egg hunt!
They looked so adorable in their Easter outfits made by the one and only Ashley from SheShe Made! The babies are way too busy to get any good pics of their outfits! I was able to get just a couple of decent ones!
They got their outfits very dirty, very quick. We changed and then went outside to hunt!!
We were watching Jocelynn too much because when we looked over at JP he had chocolate ALL over him! He had gotten one of the prize eggs without anyone knowing and opened up and ate the candy out of it!! hah! Whoops!
JP also learned how to throw the eggs to daddy!
The only thing Jocelynn was concerned about was finding the eggs to give to the dog so he could eat! It was so cute!
Whats a little celebration without a little swinging? Aunt Jill swung with the babies!!
We were able to even get a little family picture!!
Can you believe this was us last year???!!!
So many things have changed and are changing! Crazy how time flies by.. just crazy.
Im so thankful we were able to spend this wonderful holiday with such great friends. I prefer to think of them as apart of my family now because they have become that since my family doesn’t live near anymore. I love them so much. They are there for me when I need them and I hope I am for them too. I love yall Watkins family! Thank you for making this holiday special for me and my family;)
