I swear, I think my Internet doesn’t work more than it does lately. Looks like blogging isn’t getting back on track until I can catch up on literally ALL.THE.THINGS.
I told y’all about Maddie’s small party we threw. We weren’t going to do a party at all at first but I felt bad (hashtag moms guilt). I just wanted the spot light on her for just a little while and make her feel special. That child is happy with anything and she would’ve been fine with not having a party but I am glad we did. It was a very small one with family and friends. No decorations, no planning, nothing. Just a good time celebrating our two year old. Did I really just speak those words?
I cant believe my last little baby is already 2!! Who knows there might be another last little one day but for now she will always be our surprise blessing. The little one who we called nugget for 9 whole months. The blessing everyone told us we couldn’t have. She will forever be my blessing baby.
We bought her a small easel for her birthday present that she can color on and put magnets on but we had planned on taking her to the Chattanooga Aquarium for her big present. We didn’t have the time to go all weekend long and I actually hurt a good bit that weekend so I am glad we didn’t go all weekend. We woke all the kids up bright and early last Sunday. The twins were actually already awake so we went ahead and got them dressed and packed everything in the car that’s needed for a day trip. The plan was to just load them up in their pjs since we would stop and get breakfast. Because you know eggs, syrup and ketchup look great on pretty outfits, right? We stuck to the plan with Maddie and left her in her sleepwear since after all, she is our messiest eater. We got all the lovey’s, all the IPad’s, and everything else needed and we were on our merry way!
Chattanooga is about 3 hours away from us, so we knew what we were getting ourselves in to. I know most of you are thinking “Why in the world go that far for one day?” My answer is I have no clue. But it was fun, exhausting and the best time with our family.
We stopped after an hour or a little plus of driving to get breakfast. The babies were starving by this point and Me and Matt were too. We ate a huge breakfast. It was delicious too. After breakfast and potty breaks we got back on the road. Its not that bad of a drive once you get on the interstate. I drove while all four of my babies took naps (yes, my hubby is my first baby;). One would wake up and we would sing a song together then the other would wake up and we would jam out. It was so much fun.
Then we arrived! I have never been to downtown Chattanooga before and must I say that is the cutest little city ever!! I really enjoyed taking in the sights. The babies were all so excited and kept saying “Are we here? Are we here? Oh my gosh!!” I changed Maddie’s clothes and we proceeded to the entrance of the Aquarium!
The aquarium was just beautiful and we enjoyed every single second of it. I will let the pictures do the talking now!
So glad we did this for Maddie instead of doing a huge birthday party. We all had so much fun! Speaking of birthday parties.. I have lots of planning to start for the twins half birthday! Cant wait to show you all about our Pirate & Mermaid Shindig coming up in June!!
