Today has been a very challenging day. I had to make myself count to 10 many times this morning due to a no napping baby and screaming toddlers. Maddie rarely ever has a “bad” day. This morning she didn’t want to nap. She was tired but I could not get her to sleep. Jocelynn and JP were wanting my attention too. I finally just got her up and said whatever to the whole morning nap. I turned the tv on to Bubble Guppies, gave Jocelynn and JP a snack and juice and I was able to get 30 minutes of peace. Yes, I chose to do the dishes in that 30 minutes of peace but at least I was able to get something done. It didn’t help that my whole body has been killing me the past two days from being up all night with Maddie. At Maddie’s 6 month checkup she got 5 shots and that night was horrible. She wouldn’t go to sleep so I finally swaddled her. Yes, my 6 month old. But she loves it and was exhausted so I did what I had to do. I did that for two nights and now I cant get her “weaned” off of it again. So its been a rough few nights but just a few more and I know she will be back to her normal 11 hour sleeping self.
A lot has been going on in the past few weeks and I feel like I need to update yall on everything. And get it on the blog since this is my diary.
The hubs and I got a date night about a month and a half ago! We had so much fun. We enjoyed dinner at Chuy’s and grocery shopping at Walmart afterwards. I love spending time with this man. There is never a dull moment between us. I cant believe we’ve been together for 10 years now and still manage to have as much fun as we do;)
I talked about going to the zoo in a previous post but I didn’t show any pictures! I took the babies to the zoo one day last month with the Birmingham Moms of Multiples. It was so much fun! I was worried because it was extremely hot and babies can get miserable in the heat but all turned out good! Maddie slept a good while and JP and Jocelynn enjoyed looking at all the animals!
One of my wonderful friends , Brittany, made me and the babies some awesome game day shirts! The kids shirts say “Keep Calm and Fear Nick” and she made me an adorable pocket Tee! Go check her out HERE.
This year has been so fun watching the games. Last year we had two little babies who wanted to be played with so I played with them, of course. This year? They LOVE watching football. They yell “goooooo” every time they see any type of football on TV.
Have I told you how much I love my children lately? I know I have. Its all I talk about ha. Well, JP and Jocelynn are so funny as they grow older. They fight more but are more affectionate with one another too. It is literally the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I love that they love each other so much.
We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago with the Moms of Multiples! We ended up leaving a little bit early than expected because it was just too hot. All the kids got hot and miserable so we left after we got our pumpkins! We had fun looking at all the animals and “balls” (pumkins) though!
I feel like I’ve caught up enough.. on this post at least;) More to come because we have been so busy!
And just for the fun of it, here are some pictures of me and my sweet Madelynn Rae
