We have been so incredibly busy and I am still trying to figure out this whole word press thing. I am learning but it’s taking a while. I plan on doing big things this year for this blog but I am on google a lot to figure it all out! Hopefully soon I will be bringing you more projects, recipes and fun!
Our Valentines week was great! It started out with school of course. All of my babies had their parties on Thursday. They were so excited to take their friends a few treats! We made those ever so popular pretzel, m&m and kiss treats, cake pops and of course their valentines cards to give their friends. I love any and all holidays. Its a great way to get in the kitchen with your family and make special memories.

Can you believe that on Valentine’s day I’ve been with this man for 12 years? Yup, 12 years and it still feels like yesterday I fell in love with that sweet country boy who just also happened to be FINE! I love this man and I am so lucky to be able to spend the rest of our days together!
I do have to share one of the cards I got for Matt on Valentine’s day because.. well, just see for yourself…
How funny is that?!?! We all love it just that much when our husbands do-do the dishes. Am I right?
My mom got to come home from the hospital on that Friday night and I couldn’t ask for a better Valentines day present for her. She still isn’t doing great but she is glad to be back home. She is continuing her antibiotic treatment every day for 2 weeks at the hospital. I imagine that’s exhausting for her but her infection should hopefully be gone after the full 14 days. I missed her so much and still have yet to go visit her because we have been busy too. I plan on seeing her tomorrow and giving her a spunky wig I bought for her! I know she will be thrilled!
We had a great weekend (Valentines weekend). Relaxed on Saturday and ran around all day yesterday. Matt will be fishing in a big tournament series this year called the ABT. We went to Bass Pro shops to purchase some new rods, reels and lures for him and his friend. They will be prepared now for their first tournament next weekend! We are looking for sponsors to help them out in this awesome trail because they will do great. If interested, just click the email button on top left of the blog! Matt hasn’t bought new reels and rods since before the kids were born so I was proud of him for splurging a little on himself. Plus, it helps that he promised me he would install new floors into our house!!
Fast forward another week, We’ve got the floors done and paint is up. My dad flew in this weekend and came and got the kids from us yesterday morning at 7:30!! We went to Walmart and then home depot to get a few items. I started painting JP’s room when we got home and Matt laid quarter round down in the girls room to cover up the trim to hardwood. We got JP’s bed built too! I had an idea to build his bed out ofd bookshelves and it worked great thanks to a couple great bookshelves I found on Amazon! Theres still a good but to do but thank you dad and mom for keeping our babies yesterday because we made a huge dent in our progress!! I cant wait to finish these rooms for my babies!!
