While most people are talking Christmas presents, decor and activities Im over here posting about our Halloween and fall!
I am getting caught up and thats all that matters;)
My babies wanted to be characters from Blaze and the Monster Machines. Guess what? yeah, those costumes haven’t been made yet. Since I am here to make all of their dreams come true and not crush anyones heart, I did what any mom would do and I made it possible for them. It took a while but I was so pleased with how they turned out.
I give you Blaze the monster machine as Maddie, Gabby the mechanic as Jocelynn and AJ, Blazes best friend, as JP.
We went to my moms house for Halloween. I am trying my very hardest to make any and all holidays or any Tuesday just as special as I can for her. We don’t know when her last one is so I want to make sure each and every one is special. She use to go all out for me and my brother and sister when we were younger. Im talking she even went downtown to get dry ice to put in our punch, and in a cauldron so it would look like fog all over our yard. She also always made green cheese dip (or as most people call it queso) and it was so fun. My plans were to do all of that for her this year but we ended up running a little behind that day and I felt horrible. I know all she wants is all of us together but as many great Halloweens as she gave me, I was trying to give her just one. Moomoo was dressed as a clown when we got there and the kids cracked up. Pops didnt dress up but they think he is goofy anyways;)
Everything turned out wonderfully. We made green cheese dip, went trick or treating in the rain and spent time as a family. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Trick or treating was awesome this year. We got soaked but it didnt bother me or matt and the babies one bit. Maddie even said “give me something good to eat” after the twins would say “trick or treat”. Im just glad she didnt say the underwear verse to complete strangers because yes, I did teach her that. After trick or treating we came home to my mom dressed up as a witch now! She is so funny.
We went to the pumpkin patch one beautiful day in October. We didnt take the babies last year and we almost didnt go this year but I am glad we did. We had fun, as we always do. My babies, of course, chose the most different pumpkin possible. I laughed so hard because its so us.
I feel so incredibly blessed by my family. I love each minute I get to spend with them all and I try to take advantage of it all. Although theres times I could pull my hair out, I have learned it doesn’t get much better than this.
