First and foremost Id like to thank and remember all the soldiers who lost their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
We started celebrating on Sunday because Matt had to be back at work on Monday. We live on the lake and so do most of our friends. One of our friends has a beautiful point out on the main river and he has been fixing it up for all of us to go out there and enjoy. We went there on Sunday and it is looking so good! We cooked shrimp, beef ribs, hot dogs, sausage, corn on the cob, dip and chips. That’s my kind of food;) It was super hot and we woke Jocelynn from a nap in order to go over there, so lets just say we didn’t have happy babies. All the needed was a second wind apparently because after a couple hours (yes hours) of whininess they were good to go!
We have an inflatable ball pit and one day last week I decided to tape up the hole and fill it with water. They loved it so much. We decided to bring it over to our friends house! The babies even got in the lake with Matt a couple of times.
We put lake water in the pool, that’s why it looks dirty hah.
Jocelynn entertained herself for a while playing with the cup holders on the cooler. She would put her Sippy cup in and out of the holes.
I wish I could show you all just how much JP loves a ball. This is his choice of toy wherever and whenever. We have to take it everywhere with us. He runs after it so fast and then kicks it! The most adorable thing ever.
They started getting hungry after all the swimming and running. I’ve been wanting to try ribs with them for a while now and I’ve given them bites of some but never the whole bone. They devoured them!
We had so much fun! The kids were so wore out and slept really good hah! We might have to start doing that every weekend;)
And how could I forget my little miss Maddie Rae? This is what my sweet baby did the whole time…
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and got to spend time with your families like we did!
